About Antoine
As a foreign learner, speaking and understanding a tonal language like Thai is more complex than a classical Latin language and has discouraged many. Many think it's impossible, that they just don't have the ear for tones, etc.
But the truth is, with the right information and the right training, you can do it! And that's what I am offering.
I spent part of my childhood in Thailand without learning the language and learnt it as an adult (on my own). Today, I am able to speak for hours every day, read newspapers, listen to podcasts, make phone calls, etc. In short, to live independently in this amazing country.
Learning a foreign language with a teacher who can explain things to you in your mother tongue and whose competence has been tested and approved on the ground is a guarantee that you will be given the best possible grounding and that you will acquire the language as smoothly as possible.

To be able to speak a tonal language like Thai correctly, learning to read and write is an absolute must. This is the gateway through which we will gradually progress into the language (vocabulary, grammar, syntax, etc.).
We'll also draw on a number of authentic Thai textual and audiovisual resources, and depending on your availability, I'll give you either more or less exercises to do for the following lesson.
I prepare all the materials on an ad hoc basis for my students. All I need from you is regular attendance and hard work. Because when it comes to learning, results and fun go hand in hand ! :)
