  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

Well my interest in music began when I was in the 7th standard. What started as a simple curiosity soon grew into a deep passion as I continued learning and exploring different aspects of music. Over the years, that passion turned into a profession, and I have now been teaching music for more than 8 years. I pursued grade certification in guitar , i taught in academies i performed my heart out everywhere and i still love doing that. Teaching allows me to share the joy and creativity that music brings, and I love helping students discover their own connection with it.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

The biggest motivation behind my decision to teach music is my father. He was a drummer, and growing up, I was surrounded by his rhythm, passion, and love for music. It almost feels like music was introduced to me through my genes. His influence sparked my own musical journey, and teaching allows me to carry forward that legacy. By helping others learn music, I honor the inspiration he gave me and share the same joy and passion with my students.
  • How does your work help society?

My work as a music teacher helps society by nurturing creativity, discipline, and emotional expression in students. Music is more than just an art form—it helps reduce stress, builds confidence, and improves focus. By teaching music, I help students develop important life skills and provide them with a positive outlet for their emotions. In the long run, this contributes to a healthier, more balanced, and culturally enriched society where individuals appreciate art and use music as a source of joy and personal growth.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

If I had to choose a role model for my work, I would think of two people: my father and an elder brother from my church who played the guitar. My father inspired me from the very beginning with his passion for drumming, and he introduced music into my life in a natural, powerful way. Later, when I played in my church, I looked up to an older brother who played the guitar with great skill and dedication. Both of them inspired me with their love for music, their discipline, and the joy they brought to others through their talent. They shaped my musical journey and continue to motivate me in my teaching career.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

Outside of teaching, I have a variety of hobbies that keep me inspired and balanced. I’m a big cinephile—I love watching movies, and cinema actually contributes a lot to my musical journey by exposing me to different styles of music and storytelling. I also enjoy playing video games, traveling to places with beautiful scenery, and immersing myself in serene music. These activities help me relax, spark creativity, and keep my mind refreshed, which ultimately enhances the way I connect with music and teaching.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

Yes, there is one moment from my teaching life that I always remember. I once had a student who was extremely shy and hardly spoke during class. He loved music but lacked confidence, especially when it came to performing in front of others. Over time, with small steps and constant encouragement, he slowly opened up. One day, during a school event, he volunteered to perform a song on stage. Watching him confidently sing in front of a crowd—something he once feared—was one of the proudest moments of my career. It reminded me why I teach: to help students discover their voice, both in music and in life.
