About Karen
As a further education lecturer I am used to giving both teaching and learning sessions to groups of up to 30 as well as individual tutorials. I've been lecturing for over 10 yrs and have taught to many diverse groups, from public and private sector groups to university students. Due to my vast commercial and academic knowledge many of my students flourish when taught by me, as ive worked at lenght in the health and fitness industry as well as academia. I bring a unique student centre approach to teaching.
Many of my students will achieve their graded unit grades to all them to go o to university. If academia is not their desire, they do well in industry as i make my teaching very industry specific and relevant.
To keep with trends I also have a social media presence o help push my knowledge and make it more accessible.

At the beginning of each teaching session there will be a detailed teaching plan indicating topics covered in each session with intended outcomes. This will always be given the week prior the intended lesson giving the student time to do some background reading if desired or requested.
In class teaching will take the form of a mixture of presentations, group work and independent formative assessments to test and compound knowledge.
There will always be direction to extended scientific reading if relevant.
