About Alenay
Working closely with autistic and ADHD children has shown me that progress is not only about academic outcomes, but also about confidence, emotional safety and independence. Being able to support a child as they develop these skills, while also helping families feel supported and understood, is what makes this work meaningful to me and why I continue to choose this path with genuine commitment.

My teaching approach is child-centred, flexible and evidence-informed, with a strong focus on understanding each child’s individual needs, strengths and learning style. I design sessions that combine academic support with developmental areas such as emotional regulation, attention, communication, motor skills and daily life skills. For children who require ESL support, I use structured, practical and engaging TESOL-based strategies, supported by clear routines and visual aids, which are particularly effective for children with additional learning needs. Lessons typically last 40 to 50 minutes and are adapted to the child’s age, needs and concentration levels.
I hold a BSc in Child Development, an MSc in Developmental Disorders, and a TESOL certificate, and I have over five years of experience working with autistic and ADHD children in schools, specialist settings and one-to-one support roles. My lessons are suitable for early years and primary-aged children, including those who benefit from SEN-informed academic support or ESL tuition. I work closely with families to ensure sessions are consistent, meaningful and supportive of each child’s overall development and independence.
