About Alfie
Alfred, also known as Alfie, has 12 years of experience in music & is in his 11th year of specialist music education. These include 3 years at the City of Edinburgh Music School & 7 years, so far, at the prestigious Yehudi Menuhin School in Surrey, due to a generous donation made by The Rolling Stones. In addition to his current teachers, Richard Wright and Laura Snowden, he has had the privilege to play to, and receive high praise from big figures in classical guitar such as; Ana Vidovic, Pavel Steidl, Rene Izquierdo, Jonathan Leathwood & John Williams. Alfie has performed in over 100 concerts across multiple countries as well as an annual concert series at the Edinburgh Festival. In chamber music, he frequently plays with fellow instrumentalists at the Menuhin School & tours with Finlay Hay internationally as the Votadini Duo.

Alfie aims to deliver a high quality, bespoke teaching service to all his pupils and says:
"I prefer teaching with a multi-pronged approach. This means that the individually tailor-made curriculum I create for a pupil will always include appropriate technique guidance, combined with interesting repertoire, all whilst keeping the learning enjoyable. Enthusiasm is essential and I intend on helping the pupil find performance opportunities so that they can show off what they can do!"
