About Irina
Hi there! I am Irina, I have a degree in English Philology and Hispanic Philology from the UAB. I have been a teacher since I was very young, I started as a private teacher in the high school where I was studying and later I began to combine private classes with regulated education in public and semipublic schools. This is why I have extensive training in the field of education:
- Master's Degree in Teacher Training (specializing in English and Spanish).
- Master in Educational Psychology.
- Training courses on emotional education, literature, learning to read, basic skills, project creation...
I love reading and writing, and I am fascinated by languages. My mother tongues are Spanish and Catalan, I have a bilingual level of English and an intermediate level of French and Italian.
I am up to date with all the educational and cultural news that surrounds me, because... I am passionate about what I do! :)

I have taught private English and Spanish lessons for 10 years, and in secondary public schools for 8 years. This has allowed me to conceive the student as a person with very varied and changing needs. Because of this, I consider myself an adaptable and flexible teacher, who adapts to the situation of each student and their goals. I do not have a specific student profile, I work with all ages and levels.
To start with, I will ask you to give me some information: who are you? What are your needs? And then we can design together the best way to achieve them.
If you are looking for after school review classes, I know the educational curriculum inside out and I will help you overcome any difficulties you may have in both English and Spanish (or Catalan, since I also have teaching experience in this language).
If you are looking for language classes, I will help you master the basic grammar in order to have fluid conversations and read texts without difficulties. We will work on this basic grammar through units made up of texts, auditions or videos; and we will also seek the development of vocabulary and pronunciation so that you advance in the knowledge of the language in a global way.
Finally, if you are looking for something more specific, such as preparation for an exam, or conversation classes; there is no problem. We talk about it and get down to work :)
