About Karina
I am an experienced primary school teacher with 14+ years working in schools around South Auckland. Most recently, I have become a specialist teacher working with high needs students in their homes. I am a mother to a special needs child and have experience with Autism, Epilepsy, ADHD, ID, and varying physical abilities. I love to read, travel, cook, and walk our two dogs.

As every individual has different needs, every one of my sessions is different, custom-made and focused on special interests. The initial consultation is free and I suggest 2x 30min sessions each week. Each lesson will use the individual's strengths and special interests to develop foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and social skills. Lessons are also adapted on the spot to suit the individual's capacity during the lesson. Ideally, students should be happy to participate online - moving around, playing with fidget toys, etc. are welcome.
