About Caitlin
I’m a dedicated and passionate educator pursuing my Master’s in Education for Teaching Students with Disabilities, with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Special Education from the University of Delaware. Originally from Connecticut and now based in the Delaware Beaches area, I’ve spent my life working with children of all abilities, from early learners to elementary students, helping them grow both academically and personally. My experience in special education allows me to adapt instruction to meet each child’s unique needs, whether that’s building confidence in reading, strengthening math skills, or supporting overall learning success. I bring patience, creativity, and professionalism to every session, creating a positive environment where students feel encouraged, capable, and motivated to reach their goals.

As a special education teacher, I create an inclusive and supportive learning environment tailored to each student's needs. My approach combines explicit instruction, guided practice, and multisensory techniques to make reading, math, and basic skills engaging and accessible. A typical lesson begins with a quick review, followed by targeted instruction broken into small steps, guided practice with feedback, and an independent activity to apply new skills. What sets me apart is my ability to differentiate instruction for all learners and build confidence through positive reinforcement and individualized support. My lessons are designed for elementary students, including those with learning differences or who need extra help strengthening core academic skills.
