About Kaitlyn
I am a 2020 graduate from Illinois State University and have received my LBS1 degree and teaching certification. I have been teaching students between clinicals and in school and online for 2 1/2 years. I have been working with students with disabilities for over 6 years. I am also able to support students who are in general education curriculum as well. I have studied general education curriculum and have also worked to accommodate and modify it for each students needs.

Based on my degree, I am able to teach students k-21. I have given lessons to students with and without disabilities in school. Most of my experience has been with middle school curriculum and lessons. As a tutor I chose to approach support by looking at the student first and determining their needs. Reviewing work and determining if they need support with more foundational subjects that also weave into the lessons they would be learning currently. I like to use multiple ways of instruction through interactive and abstract development of the subject for students to have a better understanding. I use a lot of prompting and questions when supporting students to understand their thought process of how they are completing their work and where I can support them as well.
