About Delaney
Hello! My name is Laney, and I have several years of experience working with children in educational and childcare settings. I have worked as a Paraprofessional and currently serve as a Special Education Instructional Assistant, supporting students with a variety of learning needs. I have also worked as a special needs babysitter, helping children develop communication, social, and independent living skills.
I am passionate about creating a positive, supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning and growing. My goal is to build confidence while teaching practical social skills that can be used in everyday life. I strive to make lessons engaging, encouraging, and tailored to each learner's needs.

My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and hands-on. I break social skills into simple, easy-to-understand steps and use real-life examples to help learners build confidence.
A typical lesson includes instruction, discussion, visual aids, and practice activities. Students will learn skills such as starting conversations, understanding social cues, respecting boundaries, and building friendships.
As a Special Education Instructional Assistant, I have experience working with students of different abilities and learning styles. These lessons are designed for autistic and neurodivergent learners, but any student looking to improve their social skills is welcome.
