About Maxime
Bonjour! My name is Maxime I am a native French speaker.
I am someone who absolutely loves to discuss new ideas, exchange perspectives, and dive into friendly debates. That is the main reason I became a tutor: I enjoy the rich conversations that happen when two people share their worldviews.
Because of this, my lessons are lively and interactive. I don't want you to just sit back and listen to a lecture; I want us to talk about things that actually matter to you, whether that's culture, current events, or daily life.
I am a patient, down-to-earth person, and I look forward to hearing your ideas and helping you find the confidence to express them fluently in French.

I believe that learning a language shouldn't feel like a chore—it should feel like an opening to a new world.
My teaching philosophy skips the dry, robotic memorization of traditional classrooms. Instead, I focus on intuitive, contextual learning.
We will learn grammar and vocabulary the way native speakers actually use them: through real stories, cultural nuances, and active conversation.
I don't just teach you what to say; I coach you on how to say it with confidence, rhythm, and natural pronunciation.
Structure of a Typical 60-Minute Lesson
No two classes are identical because every student has different goals, but I use a highly effective, structured blueprint to maximize our time together:
The Warm-Up (05–10 mins): A casual, fluid conversation entirely in French about your week, an interesting news story, or a hobby. This gets your brain out of "translation mode" and into "French mode."
The Core Concept (15–20 mins): We dive into our target goal for the day—whether that is mastering a tricky grammar point (like l'imparfait vs. passé composé), expanding vocabulary for a specific situation, or analyzing a French text/audio clip.
Active Production (20 mins): This is where you put the concept to work. We do interactive role-plays, debate a light topic, or co-create a short story using your new tools. I track your mistakes silently so I don't interrupt your flow.
Feedback & Takeaways (05–10 mins): We review pronunciation tweaks, highlight new vocabulary, and set a clear, bite-sized goal for our next session. You leave with structured notes!
What Sets Me Apart
100% Authentic Cultural Context:
As a native speaker, I teach you the invisible rules of French culture. You will learn the difference between formal French, textbook French, and the actual slang (l'argot) used on the streets of France today.
Tailored Digital Notebooks:
You don't need to stress about taking notes while speaking. After every lesson, you receive a personalized digital dashboard containing the vocabulary, corrections, and audio snippets we covered that day.
A Safe Space to Fail:
Making mistakes is the literal engine of language acquisition. My virtual classroom is entirely judgment-free, encouraging, and highly collaborative.
Who These Lessons Are For
My curriculum is highly adaptive, meaning I specialize in guiding learners across several specific profiles:
By Level: Absolute Beginners (A1) looking for a strong foundation, up to Advanced Learners (C1) wanting to polish their fluid conversation and accent.
Professionals & Career-Minded: Expats or professionals preparing for corporate environments, job interviews, or relocation to a French-speaking country.
Students & Exam Prep: High school or university students looking to boost their grades, or candidates preparing for official proficiency exams like DELF, DALF, or TCF.
Travelers & Enthusiasts: Casual learners who want to confidently order a croissant, chat with locals, and navigate France without relying on translation apps.
