About Harlow
My fascination with Spanish began through interest in travel, literature, and communication across different cultures during my academic studies. This passion encouraged me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Hispanic Studies followed by a Master’s Degree in Hispanic Language and Cultural Studies. During the past 6 years, I have worked with students from different educational backgrounds while helping them strengthen fluency and communication confidence through supportive language instruction.
I believe language learning should feel approachable, interactive, and practical for every learner regardless of previous experience. My teaching style focuses on conversation practice, relatable examples, and structured explanation that help students understand Spanish naturally instead of depending completely on memorization techniques. I encourage learners to ask questions openly and communicate actively because confidence develops through supportive interaction and regular participation during lessons.
Outside teaching, I enjoy exploring Spanish literature, listening to Latin American music, and studying traditions across Spanish-speaking communities. Staying creatively connected to language helps me bring fresh discussions and practical cultural insight into lessons regularly. Teaching Spanish is deeply rewarding because I enjoy helping students become more confident communicators over time. My goal is always to support learners in building strong language skills while developing appreciation for Spanish expression and culture.

My Spanish lessons focus on helping students communicate confidently through practical speaking exercises, structured grammar guidance, and engaging language activities. I teach pronunciation, sentence building, listening comprehension, vocabulary expansion, and conversational fluency in a supportive environment where learners can improve steadily and comfortably. Students are encouraged to speak actively because regular communication strengthens confidence and fluency naturally over time. Every lesson creates a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere.
Lessons are carefully adapted according to each learner’s level and communication goals. Beginners focus on pronunciation practice, greetings, and simple sentence structure, while advanced learners work on fluent conversation, listening precision, expressive writing, and communication clarity. I include storytelling exercises, roleplay situations, guided discussions, and reading activities regularly because active participation strengthens understanding and language retention effectively. Students receive supportive guidance that helps them improve naturally without unnecessary pressure or discouragement during lessons.
I aim to create a relaxed atmosphere where students feel comfortable using Spanish naturally in practical and meaningful situations. Many learners initially struggle with speaking hesitation, so I focus on gradual fluency development through patience and positive encouragement. Over time, students improve pronunciation, communication ability, and listening skills naturally. Spanish becomes much more rewarding when learners realize they can express themselves clearly and confidently while connecting deeply with the language and culture.
