About Vilmaris
I has been giving lessons for almost 5 years and I have taught more than 30 students including elementary students. I have worked in small groups in reading and math. I used to interact with my students in a small groups to make it creative and fun and by doing this they have been able to retained more information and do better in their testing scores. Besides, working as a Spanish reading interventionist specialist, I made goals and worked with the students in small groups and also rewarded them for their effort. I've noticed a huge improvement in their reading comprehension and fluency after working with my teaching strategies.

My name is Vilmaris Montalvo and I come from Puerto Rico but currently living in Texas. I am passionate to work in educational fields. I graduated from High School in Puerto Rico. I am currently pursuing my career in Education in Dallas, TX. I participated in the GO2 professional development program and also trained in Kagan Instructional strategies. I am very creative and enthusiastic person. I enjoy work with all kind of cultural backgrounds. I love reading and my first language is Spanish. I am a very flexible teacher meaning I like my students to enjoy their days and not feeling any learning pressure. I have worked with Pre-K - 2nd grades students including helping preparing lessons, preparing the plan for the day, observing teachers in elementary schools and as an Spanish reading interventionist with 2nd graders. I really love how technology can be integrated in order to promote a creative education so I am willing to learn any new technology that can be related to the job requirements in order to meet student's educational needs.
