About Alba
Beyond my role as a Spanish Teacher, I am passionate about drawing, poetry, and yoga. Drawing allows me to express my creativity, poetry fuels my appreciation for language and emotion, and yoga provides a mindful connection with nature. In my free time, you’ll often find me going for a hike or embracing the tranquility near the beach. In addition to my passions, I also have a deep love for travel. Exploring diverse cultures and visiting new places allows me to broaden my perspective and gain insights that I weave into my teaching approach. These aspects of my life contribute and allow me to build meaningful connections with my students on a personal level while fostering creativity, mindfulness, and a love for expression.

I am Alba, a native Spanish speaker from Cantabria, Spain. Currently working as a Primary Spanish Teacher in the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum, I specialize in fostering language skills through diverse activities like reading, writing, listening, and speaking. My teaching approach incorporates conversations, book reviews, videos, music, and more to engage and enhance learning. Drawing on my experience, I offer valuable insights as a native, sharing tricks and tips while introducing aspects of my rich Spanish culture. Having taught all age groups with over 7 years of dedicated teaching in various educational settings. Committed to fostering a vibrant and effective learning environment, adept at engaging students of diverse backgrounds. Skilled in curriculum development and utilizing innovative methods to instill a love for the Spanish language. I provide tailored preparation for Spanish exams and level tests. Since 2020, I've been based in Dublin, where I've contributed to Kindergarten, Primary, and online education, aiming to bring a successful Spanish learning journey to my students.
