About Wesley
I am a committed Spanish tutor with 10 years of teaching experience, helping High School and College students build confidence in learning a new language. During my teaching journey, I have successfully guided around 150 students, each with unique learning needs and goals.
My teaching philosophy is based on the idea that learning should be enjoyable, practical, and encouraging. When students feel comfortable, they become more willing to participate and improve.
My lessons are carefully designed to develop grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. I use conversations, stories, visual materials, and interactive exercises to make learning more interesting.
I explain difficult topics in simple language and provide regular revision sessions to strengthen understanding. I also encourage students to practice Spanish outside the classroom through reading, listening to music, and simple daily conversations.
One of my proudest achievements has been helping students improve their academic results while developing confidence in speaking Spanish. Many learners who were once nervous about the language now communicate with greater ease and enthusiasm. Their success continues to inspire me to improve my teaching methods.
As a tutor, I believe patience, honesty, and encouragement create the best learning environment. My goal is to help students enjoy every step of their Spanish learning journey while preparing them for academic success and future opportunities.

My teaching approach focuses on creativity, critical thinking, mentoring, and accountability because I believe these qualities help students develop lasting language skills. I make Spanish lessons interactive, supportive, and personalized so students remain motivated throughout their learning journey.
I design lessons that include conversations, storytelling, role plays, language games, visual learning, listening activities, reading practice, and writing exercises. These methods encourage students to use Spanish naturally while improving fluency and confidence.
Critical thinking is developed through grammar discovery, vocabulary building in context, and communication challenges that require students to express their own ideas. Rather than depending on memorization, students learn to understand and apply the language effectively.
As a mentor, I guide students with patience, kindness, and encouragement. I adapt lessons to different learning speeds while motivating students to continue improving with confidence.
Accountability is part of every lesson through clear objectives, regular reviews, practical assignments, progress monitoring, and detailed feedback. This structured approach helps students achieve consistent improvement and remain focused on their goals.
Besides Spanish, I teach pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, conversation skills, reading comprehension, writing, listening practice, beginner Spanish, DELE preparation, and Hispanic culture. I also introduce useful everyday expressions that students can immediately use in real conversations.
My goal is to help students become independent Spanish speakers who enjoy learning and continue improving long after the course is completed.
