About Isa
Tutoring Spanish over the last eight years has shown me just how much students can accomplish when they have the right support. With more than 150 students tutored, I’ve worked with learners from all kinds of academic and cultural backgrounds, each with unique goals. My specialty is helping high school and college students get comfortable speaking and understanding Spanish in ways that are practical and fun. I use a mix of structured grammar review, targeted vocabulary, and open conversation to help students use Spanish with real fluency. We’ll talk about your favorite books or shows, describe weekend plans, or even translate social media captions—all while improving your sentence structure and verb usage. I also pay close attention to what each student needs emotionally—sometimes it’s encouragement, sometimes it’s clarity, sometimes it’s a complete reset in how they approach learning. I once worked with a student who had nearly failed a Spanish course but went on to complete an entire oral presentation with confidence and flow. It wasn’t magic—it was consistent, thoughtful practice paired with patient instruction.
