About Sara
My name is Sara Barthel and I am a sophomore at the University of Washington studying Applied Computational Mathematics with a concentration on Mathematical Economics. I grew up in Warsaw, Poland where I taught computer programming to children and teenagers for 3 years. At my university, I am involved with the Investment Group and the Web Impact club. When I'm not working or studying I enjoy watching Formula 1 races or sightseeing Seattle with my friends.

Having experienced both the Polish school system, the International Baccalaureate, and now the American university system, I understand the importance of tailored teaching.
My primary goal is to foster confidence in my students and I aim to achieve that in the following ways:
1. Understand their current level and ultimate goal
2. Targeted Practice: We'll pinpoint specific weaknesses through quizzes, practice problems, or past exams. Then, I'll create personalized exercises to address them.
3. Break Down Complex Concepts: We'll break down challenging topics into smaller, manageable steps with clear explanations and real-world examples.
4. Work on developing a problem-solving intuition to truly master the material
