In my opinion, to really claim to have knowledge, you must first learn it, but above all to use it, appropriate it, understand it according to your own way of thinking. This is why, after having presented a concept in a classic way to avoid any complexity at the beginning, I change my point of view according to the difficulty of the student. Math, for example, is all about connecting. A theorem can be explained thanks to geometry or trigonometry, or even analysis, etc... The multiplication of links thus makes it possible to better understand fundamentally, the why of the concepts to be learned and thus their possible applications. Physics and chemistry can, they understand each other with much more concrete examples than the knowledge they teach - because in the end their primary goal was to be able to explain this concreteness - which facilitates an instinctive understanding.

A typical course will therefore begin with a classic overview of the teaching done in class, in order to be able to determine the easiest and most complex points for the student to understand, as well as some exercises.
If the student succeeds without difficulty in the basic exercises, I will present them to them again, requiring more reflection and better control, after having provided them with a slightly more thorough explanation, but always adapted to their level. The objective is that he can reproduce his successes without hesitation, so he must be accustomed to doing problems of a difficulty at least equal if not slightly higher than that classically requested.
If the student has difficulty with basic exercises, I would give him an explanation of his course point by point, but for this to be really effective I would intersperse my explanations with applications. I would also show him different ways to approach the concept, to allow him to overcome the point of understanding blocking him. Example: the well-known Pythagorean theorem and presenting, at first sight, no serious difficulty can all the same be complicated to remember in certain cases. An explanation of its origin, as it was discovered, may allow for easier entrenchment in memory. Once the basic difficulties have been overcome, the student, to ensure a satisfactory familiarization with the course, will have slightly more complex exercises asking to manipulate the notion, and not to use it in a rough way.
The objective of this lesson plan is to allow confident students to deepen their knowledge and advance on the program, and blocked students to overcome their difficulties and gain self-confidence to reach a good level.
