About Cat
I'm a zoology graduate who was interested in going into teaching. So I did! I teach A Level biology across first and second year. I've previously been an animal care lecturer and a GCSE tutor. During the summer I also enjoy working as a seasonal ecologist monitoring bats, newts and birds. My ideal ecology job would be working on coral reefs, which is what I wrote my undergraduate dissertation on and have a tattoo of.

When they teach you to teach, there's a lot of emphasis on lesson plans. But really, teaching is about being adaptive to your students. You could have a pristine lesson plan, but if it isn't suiting a student then it needs to be adapted on the fly. You might be here because you need additional help to bump your grade up, you might be here because you need help passing in general. Either way, my job is to adapt myself and my teaching to YOU - not the other way round!
