About Sahara
Hi there, my name is Sahara. I am a cellist with the Chamber Orchestra of New York, and I have my debut solo album coming out October 18th! I am also a founding member of Duo Étrange (a soprano cello duo) which recently got signed with Canada's only classical music label (ATMA). I am originally from Vancouver, Canada, but moved to New York this fall.
Despite my busy touring/performance schedule, I have chosen to keep teaching because I love it. I started teaching more during the pandemic and when I saw what high quality teaching can do for people of all ages it became one of my strongest passions. Music is a gift that deserves to be shared!
