About Andrew
Hi, I’m Andrew Morris! I graduated from Brigham Young University–Idaho with a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, and I specialize in making programming simple, welcoming, and highly practical. Since earning my degree, I have worked directly with private clients to develop custom video games and automation Discord bots using Python. I bring that real-world development experience straight to my students by breaking down intimidating, complex computer science concepts into clear, bite-sized steps. Whether you are a parent looking to introduce your middle or high schooler to coding through fun projects, a college student tackling advanced coursework, or an adult beginner looking to strengthen your skills, I strive to build a supportive, patient learning environment where you can build true coding confidence and achieve your goals.

As a Software Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, my goal is to meet students where they are—including middle school, high school, college, and adult beginners—to help them achieve their personal coding goals. We begin by discussing what success looks like to you and evaluating your current understanding to build a highly personalized, custom lesson plan. Rather than just teaching dry code syntax, I focus on explaining not just how something works, but why it works, helping you build the confidence and industry-standard problem-solving skills needed to code independently. I offer patient, project-based lessons across a wide variety of subjects, including Python, C++, HTML, core Computer Science, Software Engineering foundations, Mathematics, Discord bot design, and beginner game development using Python.
