About Quentin
I’m a software engineer with five years of professional experience, including working at Amazon and Elastic. My professional work has focused heavily on JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and frontend development, where I’ve built production software and worked on complex user interfaces.
I also enjoy teaching and sharing technical knowledge. At Amazon, I led learning workshops for engineers on accessibility, state management, and testing frameworks. I particularly enjoy taking concepts that initially seem complicated and finding simple, intuitive ways to explain them. I believe the best way to learn programming is to understand the underlying concepts and then reinforce them by actually writing and experimenting with code.
Outside of software engineering, I enjoy snowboarding, traveling, and building my own software projects. I’m excited to help students become more confident developers and discover that programming can be both approachable and fun.

My lessons are hands-on, practical, and tailored to each student. Rather than following a rigid curriculum, I first learn about your experience, goals, and current projects so we can focus on the concepts that will be most valuable to you.
A typical lesson starts by identifying a specific concept or problem to work on. We’ll then build a small coding example together, experiment with different approaches, and discuss why the code works the way it does. Finally, we’ll apply what you learned to your own project or exercises. My goal is to help you develop a strong understanding of the fundamentals so you can eventually solve problems independently.
I teach React, TypeScript, and frontend development to beginners, college students, aspiring software engineers, and developers looking to strengthen their fundamentals or get help with a project.
