About Mahima
I am a computer science graduate and software developer working at Justuju, a technology collective that builds software and learning systems with a focus on people, equity and accessibility. I also have experience as an academic associate, which developed my interest in mentorship and education. Working in an environment that values clear thinking and accessible learning has strengthened my belief that programming should not be taught through syntax and memorisation alone. Students should understand how to break down problems, develop logical reasoning and confidently find solutions. I want to teach because I enjoy making technical concepts easier to understand and helping beginners build strong foundations. My goal is to create a patient, supportive learning environment where students can ask questions, practise consistently and gradually become independent programmers.

My classes are designed for complete beginners and students who want to build a strong foundation in C programming. We begin with problem-solving, logic and flowcharts before moving to variables, data types, operators, conditions, loops, arrays, strings and functions. Advanced lessons cover pointers, dynamic memory allocation, structures and unions. Each class includes a simple concept explanation, worked examples, code dry-runs and practical exercises. I encourage students to write and debug programs themselves instead of only memorising syntax. Lessons are paced according to the student’s understanding, with regular revision and practice problems. Students can also practise beginner-level questions on coding platforms such as CodeChef.
