About Aneesa
I am completing a PhD in Sociology at The University of Oxford, having previously attained a BSc. in Politics and IR and an MSc. in Policy Analytics from The University of Exeter. I am a trained quantitative researcher with well-rounded knowledge of politics, international relations, and sociology. For the last three years, I have been an undergraduate tutor at Oxford, teaching a variety of social science courses within the disciplines of politics and sociology. I have provided postgraduate application support to my students, resulting in successful admissions to first-choice programmes. As a tutor, I am friendly, empathetic, and approachable. I enjoy helping students in their journey and achieving their academic goals. I appreciate nuanced discussions and thought-provoking questions.

I have been tutoring undergraduate students at Oxford for three years. My approach to teaching involves: 1. Curating teaching materials around students' interests and needs. 2. Providing discussion-based 1-1 tutorials, which foster dialogue and understanding. (typically 1-hour long lessons) 3. Providing notes for each lesson to help revisions 4. Preparing students for assessments by arranging exam revision sessions and discussing past paper questions 5. My lessons are for students studying A Levels up to Postgrad
