About Chris
I am a lifelong educator with over 13 years of experience helping students think critically, engage creatively, and connect their learning to the wider world. Over the course of my career, I’ve taught in a wide range of educational settings—public schools, international classrooms, alternative learning environments, and, for the past six years, virtual schools. These experiences have shaped my belief that education is not just about mastering content, but about sparking curiosity, building empathy, and empowering students to thrive in an interconnected world.
Now based in Florida, I bring a global perspective into every lesson I teach. Whether guiding a virtual discussion, exploring historical case studies, or encouraging students to see issues from multiple viewpoints, my goal is always to create a classroom environment that is dynamic, inclusive, and meaningful. I believe the best learning experiences happen when students feel both challenged and supported, and when they leave a session not only more knowledgeable, but more confident in their own ability to engage with the world around them. I am fully certified as a Secondary Social Studies Teacher in Florida, Tennessee and Maine, have a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Online Teaching.

In my virtual classroom, students can expect dynamic, interactive sessions where big ideas in history, civics, and economics come alive. I use visuals, primary sources, real-world examples, and plenty of discussion to make complex topics understandable and engaging. Every lesson is tailored to the learner’s needs—whether that means breaking down tough concepts step by step, practicing essay writing, or preparing for AP/IB exams. My goal is for students to leave each session not only more confident in their skills, but also more curious, connected, and ready to apply their knowledge in the world around them.

I taught social studies for 38 years and had thousands of students. Chris is the most memorable, not only for his life as a student, but as a person who did the most in his life.
