About George
I'm a practising social anthropologist and policy researcher with experience in refugee integration, drug policy reform, and digital citizenship. I graduated with a Distinction MA in Anthropology at the University of Bristol, having previously achieved a First class honours in my BA at SOAS, University of London. I also worked as Co-Editor at my University's research journal where my own work is published. I have also presented my research at the British Sociological Association's 70th anniversary conference. I jump back on here when I'm in between research projects because I love the thrill of helping students construct critical arguments and thought-provoking essays.

Hi! Welcome to my ad. I personalise my sessions to the needs and goals of the student. Commonly, students require help with an upcoming assignment. I offer a full service in which I follow the reading list and recommend further reading, hold sessions to discuss what we have read, evaluate the historical/political contexts, compare and contrast key texts, and form a critical argument based on what we have learnt. This will prepare any anthropology or sociology student for their upcoming assignments. I can help with structuring the essay, and 'suggestion edit' if necessary upon completion. I can also help students master specific skills such as: - Ethnographic research methods - Ethnographic writing - Harvard Referencing - Critical thinking - Reading and note-taking - Academic writing Or perhaps you're not yet a student, but are thinking of studying Anthropology or Sociology at university or in secondary school, but not sure what to expect? I can provide specialised masterclasses such as "What even is Anthropology??" or "Key perspectives in Sociology". I am currently based in Bristol. Happy to meet up IRL or via webcam.
