About Leigh
With 7 years of experience teaching singing to school and college students, I am dedicated to helping learners improve their vocal abilities and build confidence in music.
Teaching is something I truly enjoy because it allows me to inspire students and guide them in discovering their talent.
Throughout my career, I have worked with students from different backgrounds and skill levels. Some began as beginners who were unsure about their voice, but with consistent practice and guidance they developed strong singing skills and confidence.
Many of them have successfully participated in school and college programmes and performances. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong foundation in vocal training, including breathing techniques, pitch control, rhythm development, and tone clarity.
These fundamentals help students sing comfortably and confidently. I also make sure that my classes are engaging and supportive so students enjoy learning music. My aim is to help students discover their unique voice and develop a lifelong love for singing.

My methodology for teaching singing focuses on flexibility, creativity, understanding, and careful time management to provide students with structured and meaningful lessons.
I believe that every voice is unique and has its own potential for growth, and I adapt my teaching methods to the student’s learning style and goals.
Lessons begin with breathing techniques, vocal exercises, and pitch practice to develop a solid foundation. I also incorporate techniques to improve tone, range, articulation, and vocal expression. Creativity is a key component of my teaching because singing is about communicating emotion and telling a story through music.
I encourage students to explore different musical styles, experiment with interpretation, and express themselves confidently. Understanding each student’s strengths and areas for improvement allows me to provide personalised guidance.
Time management ensures that every lesson is productive, balancing technical skill development with song practice and feedback. In addition to singing, I also help students with rhythm, music theory, and performance readiness.
