About Nyla
I am an experienced violin tutor with 5 years of teaching and professional music experience, passionate about helping students reach their full potential. I teach violin to school and college students at all levels, from beginners exploring foundational techniques to advanced learners preparing for concerts, exams, and performances.
One of my proudest milestones has been helping students grow from uncertain beginners to confident performers capable of expressing themselves through music. My teaching focuses on technical mastery, including posture, finger placement, bowing technique, rhythm, tone, and intonation, while also fostering musical expression, creativity, and interpretation.
I integrate music theory, sight-reading, and listening exercises to ensure students develop a well-rounded understanding of music. I adapt lessons to each student’s pace, learning style, and goals, creating a patient, supportive, and motivating environment. Teaching violin allows me to inspire students, build confidence, and cultivate a lifelong love for music.

I teach violin using a methodology that emphasises motivation, communication, creativity, and integrity, aiming to cultivate technically proficient, expressive, and confident musicians. Lessons are structured yet flexible, balancing technical training, creative exploration, and performance opportunities, personalised to each student’s needs and goals.
Motivation drives learning. I encourage students to set goals, track progress, and celebrate achievements, fostering engagement, perseverance, and self-confidence. Communication ensures an interactive and collaborative environment, allowing students to ask questions, share challenges, and explore creative ideas.
Creativity is integrated into every lesson through improvisation, composition, and interpretation exercises, helping students develop their artistic voice and emotional connection to music. Integrity emphasises disciplined practice, responsible effort, and respect for learning, forming habits that promote long-term growth and success.
Alongside violin, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, rhythm exercises, and basic piano, providing students with a comprehensive foundation in music. This methodology fosters technical skill, artistic expression, confidence, and lifelong musical engagement.
