About John
I am a dedicated Saxophone tutor with 9 years of teaching experience, and I have successfully taught around 150 students from beginners to advanced learners. I focus on providing personalized support to help students make steady, long-term progress.
My tutoring approach is student-focused, structured, and supportive. I start with posture, breathing, tone production, and finger technique, gradually progressing to rhythm exercises, scales, songs, and musical expression.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace and learning style. I provide home practice guidance, interactive exercises, and regular feedback to ensure consistent improvement.
My unique strength is my ability to combine structured guidance with personal attention, helping students grow into skilled, confident, and expressive saxophone players.

I teach saxophone using a student-centered methodology emphasizing flexibility, collaboration, and positivity. Each student has a unique learning style, so I design lessons tailored to their pace, goals, and preferences using demonstration, listening exercises, and hands-on practice.
Flexibility ensures lessons evolve according to student progress, motivation, and interests, keeping learning enjoyable, productive, and inspiring. Collaboration encourages students to experiment with improvisation, actively participate, and share ideas, fostering creativity, confidence, and skill.
I maintain a positive and encouraging environment where achievements are celebrated and challenges are treated as opportunities for growth. Lessons include saxophone technique, improvisation, musical expression, performance skills, and theory to provide a well-rounded education.
Beyond saxophone, I teach sight-reading, ensemble performance, ear training, and music theory. My goal is to develop confident, expressive, and versatile musicians.
