About Lydie
I am an experienced flute teacher with over 9 years of teaching background, helping students achieve their musical goals. I work with school children, college students, and working professionals at different skill levels.
My teaching philosophy is based on patience, clarity, and consistent practice. I focus on breath management, tone production, finger flexibility, and rhythm accuracy. I gradually introduce advanced techniques such as articulation control and musical expression.
In addition to flute performance, I teach music theory, sight reading, scale construction, and ear training for complete development. I customise each lesson according to the student’s ability and goals.
My unique skill is building confidence and reducing performance anxiety. I aim to make flute learning structured, meaningful, and rewarding.

My approach to teaching flute blends technical precision with supportive guidance, guided by Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I assess each student’s strengths and tailor lessons to suit their learning style, whether visual, auditory, or practice-oriented.
Lessons emphasise breath management, embouchure stability, tone clarity, finger accuracy, articulation control, and rhythm awareness. Through step-by-step exercises and consistent practice structures, students gradually gain confidence and control over their instrument.
Flexibility enables me to modify lesson pace and repertoire according to individual progress and aspirations. Collaboration encourages open communication and shared accountability in achieving goals. Positivity helps maintain motivation and builds resilience during challenging techniques.
Alongside flute training, I also provide instruction in music theory fundamentals, ear training, sight-reading, rhythm counting, and performance preparation to support well-rounded musical growth.
