About Greeshma

I am Greeshma Bhat, a graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and now working in a corporate company. Alongside my studies, I embarked on a fulfilling journey as a Drawing and Chess teacher, specializing in teaching drawing to students of all levels and chess to beginners. With a solid teaching experience of 3 years and a FIDE rating of 1427, I have had the privilege of guiding and mentoring over 500 students from various corners of the globe. This enriching experience has broadened my perspective and honed my pedagogical skills. I take immense pride in receiving a prestigious 500-hour teaching memento from the Teachmit Application, which recognizes my commitment and dedication to the art of teaching. Additionally, I have had the honor of representing Bengaluru City University in the zonal level chess tournament twice as the 2nd main player, and I have won various art competitions. This has further fueled my passion for Chess and Art, a passion that I have been practicing for an impressive number of years. I remain deeply committed to nurturing the artistic and strategic talents of my students, and I approach every class with enthusiasm and a genuine desire to inspire growth. Whether you are a budding artist seeking to unlock your creative potential or a chess enthusiast eager to learn the intricacies of the game, I am here to provide you with comprehensive guidance and support. Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
I take Sketching and Painting classes for kids and adults. I'm self taught artist practicing from 2008. I love painting, sketching and arts and crafts. I started taking class from June 2021.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
My family is my motivation. Because they saw me as a good instructor (there's a small story behind this).
How does your work help society?
I conduct many free workshops. So I guess it's helping students to learn something good for free. And once I reach 200 students I'm planning to open a Free Art school for kids who are below poverty line by taking buildings for rents.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
My Mother is my role model. She is my backbone.
