About Mara
My singing methodology for The Church Ensemble Player and The Crossover Artist focuses on developing flexibility, precision, and expressive depth across multiple genres—classical, pop, and jazz. We begin by strengthening vocal fundamentals like breath control, resonance, and pitch stability to create a solid foundation for any style. From there, we explore how to adjust tone color, diction, and phrasing to fit each genre’s unique character. For The Church Ensemble Player, the emphasis is on harmony blending, dynamic sensitivity, and emotional connection through sacred and ensemble-based music. For The Crossover Artist, we refine stylistic agility, improvisation, and authenticity while shifting between classical purity, pop clarity, and jazz nuance. You’ll learn how to honor each style’s tradition while maintaining your own artistic identity. Technology plays an important role in this process. Using Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), metronomes, and pitch training apps, we’ll track your progress, analyze tone consistency, and fine-tune your rhythmic awareness. These tools make practice measurable, interactive, and creatively empowering. By the end, you’ll not only sing confidently across genres but also perform with intention, adaptability, and joy.

I’m a dedicated vocal coach and performer with over 9 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Voice. My passion lies in helping singers discover their authentic voice, build confidence, and overcome performance anxiety. I believe that every voice has a story, and my goal is to help you express it with freedom and heart.
I teach a wide range of styles, including Pop, Indie, R&B, and Contemporary Worship, tailoring each lesson to your goals and personality. Together, we’ll strengthen your breath control, enhance expressive phrasing, and maintain healthy vocal habits for long-term growth. I also focus on live performance coaching helping you command the stage with confidence and emotional depth.
Whether you’re a shy beginner finding your footing, a teen performer preparing for the spotlight, or an aspiring recording artist crafting your sound, I’ll meet you where you are with patience and encouragement. My lessons are a balance of technical focus and creative exploration, designed to make singing both empowering and joyful.
