About Kara
I have been teaching singing for 8 years and hold a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance. My passion for music comes from a love of different vocal traditions and the stories they carry. Throughout my teaching journey, I have worked with students from many backgrounds and experience levels.
I enjoy helping learners explore vocal ornamentation, expressive phrasing, traditional scales, and stylistic techniques from different musical cultures. Lessons often include discussions about musical heritage, language, and artistic expression. I believe music becomes more meaningful when students understand the traditions behind it.
My teaching style combines patience, encouragement, and practical guidance. I aim to help students grow into confident and expressive singers while staying connected to their unique voice. It is always rewarding to watch learners discover new possibilities through singing.

My singing lessons focus on helping students connect with their voice in a natural and confident way. I use vocal journaling, breathing awareness, imagery exercises, and mindful practice to create a calm learning environment. Topics include vocal placement, phrasing intention, resonance control, and expressive singing.
Each lesson encourages students to explore their unique sound while developing healthy vocal habits. We work on tone quality, pitch accuracy, emotional expression, and song interpretation through guided exercises and practical application. I provide support for learners who want greater confidence, creative freedom, and stronger performance skills.
Students are encouraged to progress at their own pace while building technical ability and self-awareness. My goal is to make singing feel enjoyable, rewarding, and personally meaningful. Every lesson is designed to strengthen both the voice and the confidence behind it.
