About Maya
I am a passionate vocal tutor with 12 years of experience in classical, musical theater, and contemporary singing. My lessons are designed to help students improve their vocal technique, confidence, and performance skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.
I tailor each lesson to the student’s individual goals and musical interests, focusing on areas such as breath control, pitch, vocal strength, and stage presence. Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes and are best suited to beginner and intermediate singers, especially children and teenagers.
I strive to create a professional but comfortable atmosphere where students can enjoy learning, build confidence, and develop their voice at their own pace.

My teaching style is personalised to each student’s goals, whether they want to improve vocal ability, prepare for performances, develop stage presence, or simply enjoy singing more confidently.
I combine classical vocal foundations with contemporary and musical theatre techniques, helping students develop healthy vocal habits, breath control, pitch accuracy, vocal strength, and expression. I also focus on performance skills such as interpretation, confidence, and stagecraft, drawing from my own experience performing and studying music.
Lessons are typically 45–60 minutes long and are structured around warm-ups, technique exercises, song work, and performance development.
My lessons are suited to beginner to intermediate singers, particularly children and teenagers who want to improve their singing ability, confidence, and performance skills in a comfortable and encouraging environment. I can also assist with a high school student currently studying in VCE or VET music.
