About Mariam

Hi! My name is Mariam, I am a professional vocalist and an active opera singer. I regularly take part in competitions and have received several awards, and I bring this real performing experience into my teaching.
At the same time, I believe music shouldn’t be limited by genres. Good vocal technique works for any style, and singing should feel natural and free.
I truly believe that anyone who has vocal cords can learn to sing. Every voice is different, and with the right approach it can grow and become stronger and more confident.

For me, singing is not only about technique, it’s also about lightness, enjoyment, and freedom. Lessons are built so that you not only improve your voice, but also enjoy the process, feel relaxed, and discover the joy of singing.

Lessons are online and adapted to each student’s level and interests, in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.

  • 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

My passion for music began in childhood. Singing has always felt natural to me, and from an early age I was fascinated by the way the human voice can express emotions, tell stories, and connect people. While I appreciate many instruments, my favourite instrument is the human voice because it is unique to every person and carries a deeply personal sound.
  • 2) Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

As an opera singer, I naturally love classical music and opera, but I also enjoy exploring different genres. I believe music should not be limited by labels. Good vocal technique can be applied to any style, whether it is classical, musical theatre, jazz, pop, or folk music. Because of this, my playlists are very diverse, and I never get tired of discovering new interpretations and voices.
  • 3) Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

One of the most fascinating courses I can offer focuses on vocal interpretation and stage performance. Technical skills are essential, but transforming a song into a genuine emotional experience is often the biggest challenge. In these lessons, students learn how to combine healthy vocal technique with storytelling, expression, stage presence, and confidence. Watching students discover their artistic voice is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching
  • 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

I believe the human voice is one of the most challenging instruments to master. Unlike a piano or violin, we cannot see or touch the vocal instrument directly. The voice is influenced by breathing, posture, emotions, health, and even mindset. Learning to coordinate all of these elements while maintaining freedom and natural sound requires patience, awareness, and consistent practice.
  • 5) What are your keys to success?

My keys to success are consistency, curiosity, discipline, and genuine enjoyment of the process. I believe progress happens when students feel supported and motivated rather than pressured. I also believe that every voice is unique, so finding the right individual approach is essential for long-term development.
  • 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

I would love to meet Maria Callas, Luciano Pavarotti, and Freddie Mercury.

Maria Callas because of her extraordinary artistry and ability to bring dramatic depth to every performance. Luciano Pavarotti because of his incredible vocal technique and natural connection with audiences around the world. Freddie Mercury because he demonstrated how technical excellence, creativity, and charisma can come together to create unforgettable performances.
  • 7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

    7. I remember preparing for an important competition and becoming completely focused on technical perfection. During a rehearsal, one of my teachers stopped me and said, “You are singing every note correctly, but what story are you telling?” That moment changed my perspective. I realised that technique is a tool, not the final goal. Since then, I have always tried to balance technical excellence with emotional expression, both in my performances and in my teaching.
  • 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

    8. My teaching is highly personalised because every student has different goals, strengths, and challenges. I create a friendly and supportive atmosphere where students feel comfortable experimenting, making mistakes, and growing.
