My approach as a tutor is centered on understanding how you learn best. I focus on building strong foundations by breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps. For me, it’s always important to understand the “why” behind what we’re learning.
A typical lesson with me begins with a review of previous material and time to address any questions or challenges you’re facing. From there, we work through the concepts together, focusing on the areas you need the most support with. Throughout the session, I check for understanding and adjust my pace to fit your learning style. I also provide strategies for test-taking, studying, and learning new material effectively.
What sets me apart is my 10+ year tutoring experience, my academic background in Neuroscience and that I am in school.
I get it.. learning can be hard!
With my background in neuroscience I have spent a lot of time learning how and why the brain works the way it does. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable to ask questions and make mistakes. It’s part of the learning process!
My lessons are personalized for students from grade 3 through undergraduate level. My goal is to understand how each student learns best and work with them to develop effective study methods and long-term academic skills. Let’s ace that class—I can’t wait to work with you!
