About Shemusi
I have hands-on classroom teaching experience with primary-school students and understand that every child has a different pace, personality, and way of learning. My experience has taught me to be patient, encouraging, and flexible while also helping students build strong academic foundations.
I particularly enjoy teaching English, including reading, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing. I want my students to leave every class not only knowing something new but also feeling a little more confident than when they walked in.
For me, good teaching is about preparing children for much more than their next test. It is about helping them become curious learners, confident communicators, and independent thinkers who can carry these skills with them as they grow.

I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and being curious. My classes are interactive and usually combine conversation, stories, games, examples and short activities rather than just explaining from a textbook.
I begin by understanding what the student already knows and where they need support. We then work on one or two clear goals at a time through practice and discussion. I especially focus on making English feel less intimidating, whether we are working on grammar, reading, comprehension, vocabulary or writing.
Since I work with primary-school students, I know that every child learns differently. I adapt my pace and activities to the student rather than expecting every learner to fit the same method. My classes are mainly intended for students in Grades 3–6 who want to become more confident and independent in English.
