About Daniel
I achieved the maximum grade of 7/7 in "Higher Level Mathematics" and "Higher Level Physics" while obtaining the International Baccalaureate diploma in high school. I have gotten As in many math classes throughout my undergraduate degree, such as Honors Calculus and Analysis.
I like to create a relaxed yet professional and efficient learning environment that leaves students feeling more confident in their mathematical abilities and less stressed overall. My students often praise my sense of humor, which I integrate with the analogies I create for my students' mathematical understanding.

Since middle and high school math is often technique-based, meaning that all the problems fall into a distinct category defined by how they must be solved, I work with the student to identify all the different categories of problems they need to know for their class. I ensure they know precisely how to spot each type of problem, and I help them develop a concrete method for working through each kind. I like to think of as many analogies and intuitions as I can for a problem such that the student has no gaps in their understanding.
I always begin by asking students to describe their understanding and confusion surrounding their class's topics. I am good at identifying the ways of thinking that are causing confusion, and I like providing fun thought experiments to help students break down critical thought patterns.
