Hello! I’m Nata, a senior psychology student at Hunter College with a strong passion for helping students understand and enjoy psychology. I am professional, reliable and patient. As an AP Psychology tutor, I focus on making complex psychological concepts clear, engaging, and memorable for high school students. My teaching approach combines interactive discussion, real-life examples and active learning techniques to ensure students not only understand the material but can also apply it confidently on exams.
I tailor each lesson to the student’s learning style, using methods such as: Analogies and real-world examples, guided practice and problem-solving for free-response questions, visual aids, charts, and mnemonics, active recall and questioning techniques to check understanding throughout the session.
Typical Lesson Plan:
A session usually begins with a brief review of previous material, followed by introducing new concepts. Students then practice applying the concepts through questions, scenarios, or mock AP exam problems. Each lesson ends with a summary and key takeaways.
What Sets Me Apart:
I combine my background in psychology at Hunter College with a patient, student-focused approach. I adapt lessons to the student’s pace and learning preferences, ensuring that each session is productive, interactive, and enjoyable. My goal is not just to teach content but to help students think like psychologists.
