About Sylus
I've been in advanced courses for as long as I can remember, but in seventh grade, when I took my Algebra 1 EOC, I earned a high-level 5 on the exam, and I passed Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, & Calculus with only As and Bs. I'm currently in AP Calculus, which covers the same material as Calculus Honors, it just requires an education on AP standards for responding to questions. Because I've already taken Calculus, on occasion I'll assist my AP Calc. teacher explain certain concepts to the class and I have a lot of experience tutoring students my age, younger, and older.

I adapt to how my students learn, typically through visual representation and real-world analogies to help the student grasp the concepts effectively. I'll briefly introduce a topic, define and elaborate on the topic through examples, and then I open the floor for questions or comments. Afterwards, I'll have the student complete a couple of practice problems to see if they've learned the concept. I like to keep things short and sweet. These lessons will help students in high school as well as college students in classes like College Algebra or Calculus. They're especially useful for those working towards architecture, engineering, finance, or any other math-heavy careers!
