About Sandra
I am your friendly neighborhood artist who loves to experiment with various art mediums and techniques. This experimental nature, along with my self-taught background, has enabled me to understand and simplify artistic techniques effectively.
My goal is to help you grasp the basics of art in the simplest way possible, making it easy for beginners to follow and enjoy. I am always open to questions and encourage my students to come to me with any doubts or curiosities they have. Together, we will explore and create with confidence and creativity.

As a self-taught artist, my approach to teaching is deeply rooted in the philosophy of experiential learning and creative exploration. I employ a range of techniques designed to cater to different learning styles:
Teaching Techniques and Methods
1. Hands-On Practice: Art is a practice-based discipline. I emphasize practical work where students create art with their own hands. This includes sessions where learners can immediately apply techniques and theories.
2. Live Demonstrations: Show real-time techniques for students to follow.
3. Step-by-Step Tutorials: Break down complex techniques into easy-to-understand steps.
4. Personalized Feedback: Give one-on-one critiques to help improve individual skills.
5. Encouraging Creativity: Promote experimentation.
Usual Structure of a Class
1. Introduction: Overview of the day’s topic and objectives.
2. Demonstration and practical work: Live demo of the technique while students follow along
3. Review and Feedback: Review and constructive critiques.
4. Wrap-Up: Summarize key points, provide assignments, and address questions.
Special Features as a Teacher
1. Empathy and Patience: Understand and support the unique challenges of learning art.
2. Real-World Experience: Share insights and lessons from my artistic journey.
3. Adaptability: Tailor teaching methods to fit each student’s learning style.
4. Encouraging Self-Discovery: Help students find their artistic style.
Intended Audience
1. Children (Ages 9 - 14): Beginners needing foundational skills.
2. Young adults (Ages 15-20): Refining techniques and expanding knowledge.
3. Adults and Hobbyists: Beginners and experienced individuals pursuing art as a hobby.
I aim to inspire confidence in every student by providing the tools and knowledge they need to express themselves through art.
