About Camila
Having grown up in Asunción, Paraguay into an academic and artistic family, I am a self-motivated, resourceful and progress-driven musician: in 2021 I moved to London to start a Music PhD at Goldsmiths University. With a long-standing record of initiative and delivering results, I always try to bring value, hard work, discipline, application and a high-quality work ethic to my work’s space.
I have the following academic titles: 'Profesora Superior' in Music Theory and Solfege, a Bachelors Degree in Music with a Major on Viola Performance, and a Masters in Arts Education with Emphasis on Solo Viola Interpretation from the Centro Superior Katarina Gurska. I received grades and honours in the highest brackets from all three institutions. I have studied music privately with Rachel Podger, Nobuko Imai, Richard Young, Alberto Belli, Peter Thomas, Gerardo Gramajo, Alan Kovacs and Beiliang Zhu.
As a violist, I was a permanent member of the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional del Paraguay. Having worked as a teacher at the Mimby Institute of Asunción and as a private tutor of musical theory, violin and viola, my experience in the area of education is extensive.

A typical lesson with me will involve always lots of communication with the student. Getting to know their feelings and objectives would help to prepare a personal working-plan. There would be a warm up at the begging, then some technique and repertoire. Within this estructure flexibility is always welcome.
I have worked as a private tutor of musical theory, violin and viola for the last 12 years - my experience in the area of education is extensive.
