About Cruz
I am a self-defense instructor/biological physics graduate/wrestling coach with 11 years of wrestling experience including 4 years at the collegiate level as a 2014-2018 varsity men's wrestling team member with over 130+ wins in my college career (most wins on the team each season).
I have been giving lessons for over 5 years while in school at SFU as a biological physics student. I have taught hundreds of youth in the sport of wrestling and have given private wrestling lessons to MMA athletes, including those in the UFC. Thanks to my instruction, many of the athletes I trained have become much more fit as a result and have increased body awareness and have even implemented many of the techniques I taught to those with jobs in security or bouncers at night clubs and even in matches by MMA athletes, both at the amateur and professional levels.

I teach based on the goals and needs of the student with a critical emphasis on body awareness including how to properly fall to the ground in a safe manner and to be able to get back up to your feet and finally, bring an aggressor to the ground in both sport and in self-defense.

He is very friendly, adaptable, and very knowledgable. He has helped me get two passing grades in quantitative university level courses so far, through alternative teaching methods to solidify the knowledge provided by the professors. He hand creates his own lesson plans to go over, as well as referencing lesson plans from the prof. Details
A 24hr cancellation is required. I typically do 90 minute sessions for $100 for MMA lessons geared towards grappling so I will give that option as well if you want a longer session. You may also get a partner to cover costs together rather than paying extra for more people. I can also introduce basic striking, but the wrestling is my primary expertise.
