I offer supportive, tailored maths lessons for secondary students: About My Lessons As a maths tutor, I focus on creating a calm, supportive environment where students feel safe to ask questions and build confidence. I always start by asking what the student struggles with and tailor each lesson to their specific needs—whether it’s reinforcing classwork, filling knowledge gaps, or preparing for upcoming topics. My approach is patient and practical. I explain concepts clearly and break problems down into manageable steps, using real-life examples when helpful. I aim not only to improve grades but to help students feel more in control of their learning. Lesson Format Lesson length: Typically 60 minutes Style: One-on-one support, focused on understanding and steady progress Available online or in-person (if applicable—let me know if you'd like this included!) My Background I hold a degree in Computational Linguistics, and I’ve worked in a UK secondary school providing both 1-to-1 and classroom support, mainly with Years 7 to 9. That experience taught me how to adapt to different learning styles and encourage students who might feel lost or overwhelmed. While my core focus is on lower secondary (Years 7–9), I’m happy to help up to Year 11, especially with foundational topics that often resurface in GCSE prep.
