About Matthew
I taught GCSE maths in UK schools for 5 years between 2019 and 2024. I am fully familiar with both higher and foundation courses. I can work with all exam boards and specialise in Pearson/ Edexcel exam board. While teaching many pupils commented on my encouraging and supportive teaching style.

For many students, maths can feel like following the blue line on your Maps App. You might know what the next step is, but you're unsure where you're going after that. Without the App's constant instruction on what to do next, it's easy to get lost.
Now compare that to how a local gets around. They don't just know the next turn, but can figure out the whole route in advance. If something doesn't go to plan, a local still knows where they are. They can find multiple ways around the problem. A local can always get to their intended destination without constant assistance.
I'm here to help you feel like a local in the maths world. I teach maths for mastery. While teaching in schools I have taken further training with the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics. Through my own experience and their training I know how to help students understand maths more intuitively.
Whether you're looking for a particular grade in your exams or whether just looking to build your confidence, my experience can help you grow and get to where you want to be.
