Mary was my high school English teacher. She created an environment where we could understand the readings fully in a relatable way. We spent time reading together, discussing themes and artistically creating images from the book. She also helped me write my personal statement for my college application. She assisted in formatting and grammar as well helping to fully form my ideas. She is caring, patient, intelligent and understanding of all learning styles. I still to this day reach out to her when I need help in writing or if I need a good book recommendation.
