About Daniel
Kia ora! I am Daniel, a second-year medical student studying at the University of Auckland. I completed my first year in biomedical science with a GPA of 9.0 (both for core + and noncore inclusive), alongside an MMI score of 201.81/210, placing me among the top scorers for the UoA MMI.
In 2026, I have helped many pre-med students develop confidence and fluency in their interview answers. I have also achieved the NZQA Outstanding Scholar Award in 2023 and 2024, with Outstanding Scholarships in English and History, alongside Scholarships in 7 other subjects. I have also achieved NCEA 1, 2 and 3 at Excellence (50+ Excellence credits in each level).

My ethos around MMI is direct and efficient.
In my sessions, I cover the relevant content for MMI, key strategies that helped me obtain a score of 202, and practice responses with feedback. I believe that the MMI, above all, is a holistic assessment and thus it cannot be handled in the same way you might handle other components of medical school entry. The strength I bring is an astute understanding of the purpose and the "meta" of this interview which I hope will allow my tutees to succeed.

I received MMI tutoring from Daniel after trying 5+ MMI tutors and nearly giving up 🥲. After our first tutoring session, I felt more prepared and more secure with tackling the MMI moving forward.
The way Daniel teaches MMI isn’t the conventional —> answer questions & receive feedback. He makes sure you have the structure, base, and guidance before answering questions, which for me personally set me up for success!
