About Emily
I’m looking to be a tutor because I want to help students that need that extra guidance in their education but either don’t want to or can’t get that help from school. I would like to foster a sense of confidence, so that you feel the questions aren’t trying to bamboozle you and so lessons feel easier.
As an undergraduate I am close to the material studied and can offer insights from a higher level of education.
Having taught some younger years I have honed in my skills of re-explaining the content in a way that students understand and making the questions easier to wrap your head around.
I am incredibly relaxed when it comes to teaching, I don’t want lessons to be like you’re at school for an extra hour, rather you are just having an informative chat. I am more than happy to answer questions, no matter what they are, and I am more than happy to look over essays and practise exams if needed.

My teaching style aims to be informative while also being relaxed.
I can teach via PowerPoint slides or through conversation, like questions and answers; whichever you feel will help you the most. I can also help with essays and exam techniques as well.
I haven’t been a professional tutor before but I have done Lunchtime or afterschool sessions with younger years in a school environment, because I am currently an undergrad I am closer to the curriculum having only done my A-Levels 2 years ago.
The lessons will be 45 minutes to an hour long.
I can teach GCSE level and A-Level pupils.
