About Riya
Hello, I'm Riya, an international student who's studied in a variety of different schools in my life. Growing up in different environments, I've worked with students from different countries, with different approaches to learning. I enjoy collaborating with students and using our combined knowledge to achieve greater things in life. I believe it's important to help share the knowledge you have with others in order to grow further as a community, which is why I'm quite passionate about learning and achieving greater things in life, and spreading the knowledge with others who have the potential to do so too. So far, tutoring peers within my school has been great, and I would love to tutor others in different places too!

I tend to get to know the student, and understand their learning style. I believe students are able to corporate better with people their age, who can understand them. I'm able to adapt to whatever learning style the student prefers due to experience with peer tutoring in school, however an ideal lesson would start with getting to know the student's current level, explaining the concept through some practice problems, then attempting to clear up areas of confusions, helping the student end off the lesson with a clear understanding of the concept. Lessons can be around 1-2 hours, and are aimed at 12-15 year olds who require help with topics such as algebra, geometry, or trigonometry.
