About Novica
I’m a passionate maths tutor and the founder of Mathsy, an education platform focused on helping GCSE and A-Level students truly understand mathematics rather than simply memorising methods. I’ve spent years studying how students learn maths most effectively, and I use that experience to create highly structured, engaging and results-driven lessons.
My goal as a tutor is to help students build confidence, independence and strong problem-solving skills so they can perform at their best in exams and beyond. I understand that many students struggle not because they “aren’t good at maths,” but because concepts were never explained to them clearly in the first place.
I work with KS3, GCSE and A-Level students of all abilities, from those aiming to secure a pass to students targeting Grade 9s and A*s. I take a patient but ambitious approach, creating personalised lesson plans tailored to each student’s goals, weaknesses and learning style.

I’m a dedicated GCSE & A-Level Maths tutor focused on helping students build genuine understanding and long-term confidence, not just memorise methods. My lessons are highly personalised to each student’s strengths, weaknesses and target grades, with a strong focus on exam technique, problem solving and mastering difficult topics step-by-step.
I specialise in helping students move from feeling stuck or overwhelmed in maths to becoming confident and independent learners. Lessons are typically 1–2 hours and include clear explanations, worked examples, targeted practice questions and structured revision plans tailored to the student’s exam board and goals.
I teach KS3, GCSE and A-Level Maths, and I place a big emphasis on making lessons engaging, supportive and results-driven. Whether a student is aiming to pass, improve by a few grades, or achieve top grades such as Grade 9/A*, I adapt my teaching style to suit their learning style and help them reach their full potential.
